Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy
Quantitative Aptitude
Focus on Data Interpretation (DI) — tables, bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs. For Prelims, prioritise Simplification, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, and Basic Arithmetic. For Mains, spend more time on Data Sufficiency and advanced DI sets. Practice at least 50 questions daily.
Reasoning Ability
High-weightage topics: Puzzles & Seating Arrangement (carry 15–20 marks alone), Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, and Inequalities. Solve at least 2–3 full puzzle sets daily. Speed and accuracy are crucial in this section.
English Language
Reading Comprehension is the most important topic — practice RC passages from editorial sections of The Hindu and Economic Times. Cover Error Detection, Sentence Correction, Fill in the Blanks, and Para Jumbles. For Mains descriptive, practise writing formal letters and essays on banking and economic topics.
General & Banking Awareness
Cover RBI policies, banking terminology, recent mergers and acquisitions in banking, important government schemes (PM Jan Dhan, Mudra, etc.), and monthly current affairs. Follow RBI's official website and use a good banking awareness book like Arihant or BSC Publications.
